Need a day out?

Hello all my bargain-hunting beauties. If the summer holidays seem to be dragging on a bit (as if!), you may be in need of a nice day trip to get yourself out of the house. Well, you can help cut the cost of a day trip by visiting one of the great sites managed by the OPW.

These lovely people are offering free access to a wide range of sites around the country on the first Wednesday of the month, and it's a great chance to make the most of the fantastic sites we have in this country.

Here's the list of places you can visit for free on the first Wednesday http://www.heritageireland.ie/en/media/Free%20Admission.pdf

For me, Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin, Kilkenny Castle, Bru na Boinne in Meath, the Rock of Cashel in Tipperary and Glendalough in Wicklow are absolutely worth a visit.
